Ha, maybe a little like that, but I would be too if I'd worked on something for over a decade. He did demonstrate some things that I'd guess got some of the crowd interested (and others horrified).

He did grab my sudden attention, via a combination of hopeful curiosity and pessimistic worry, in the beginning when he mentioned "Smart Match". As it is, I only use that for debugging my Perl 5 code, and even then I don't always trust what it tells me. Perhaps they are determined to try it again from the beginning in an attempt to "get it right" this time?
