But if you can do it in Python, My guess is that he can't do it from Python -- else why would he want to do it from perl? But he thinks that if he challenges Perl folk to match Python, they'll ignore the ethical considerations in order to show that Perl is at least as capable as its 'nemesis': Python. I think that this is a clear and transparent attempt at social manipulation, but ... I think a lot of things that others do not seem to grasp.
