I just sent a test to the same post, and it went through ok.

This may seem silly, but did you remember to go back on your Preview and hit the create button afterwards?

If not, could it be a browser caching issue?

Hi stevieb, Thanks for taking the time to check this out. I definitely hit the `create` button as the post was displayed, appears in the list of nodes I wrote and can be reached via the link in that list. I can also discount the browser caching as I tried a different laptop that hasn't connected to Perlmonks for months and the post refuses to appear on the parent node on that system as well.
