Not really. Mason or Embperl are much closer matches to PHP.

    Really. So are you making a recommendation or just throwing out links? Last time I used PHP we used it as a routing controller and for templating, same as mojo except suckier. Makes me feel like I'm <?php echo "writing html still" ?>

      Personally I think Mason is problematic. It encourages a PHPish approach which is a total violation of separation of concerns—MVC. Not saying it cannot be used well, just that it takes a disciplined hacker to do so. I only mentioned it because it is the most like PHP. Embperl was the bee’s knees 20 years ago. It’s not something I’d recommend at all today.
