in reply to IP change

Eh... you probably have a very good reason for this, but I'm going to ask anyway. Why are you bothering with entering IP addresses manually instead of going with dynamic DNS resolution?

Cheers,

    Hi,

Well - I donīt dig into IPs, but I had www.perlmonks.com as a bookmark and I wasnīt until TODAY able to connect to it (in the Czech Republic) until someone from the P:RD mailinglist told me, that ORG was up.

Now imagine, that I really wasnīt able to visit one of my most favourite websites for nearly a week. And I hadnīt any other information how to reach vroom or anybody else.

I think it should be viable that monks who wish so, could save a (otherwise not visible) email, and the everything machinery would inform these emails if serious things were going on.

What we have now is a one way. What do you think?

    Ciao
