Well finally I got an unconvincing and unhelpful reply from the existing maintainer of Sendmail::Milter, but nothing yet from modules@perl.org. ... I started this ball rolling in February 2017, and the response has been, to put it politely, thin.

IMHO it might be time to just release your Sendmail::MilterV6...
