I poked a hole where I felt one needed to be poked

Ummm ... it looks to me that this is in response to the post that I made.
That's a bit weird because I, too, felt that the very same hole needed to be poked.

If you feel that I'm in the wrong here

On the contrary, I expected that my statement "You aren't the only one" would have indicated my agreement with your stance.

My suggestion that sundialsvc4 and TheloniusMonk are one and the same was put forward as a possible explanation of your (and my) inability to understand TheloniusMonk's point.
But I was assuming that, like me, no-one else could ever understand sundialsvc4 ... I can sometimes assume too much ;-)

Cheers,
Rob

I meant I was poking a hole in the first sentence of this post - are we talking about the same thing here? :-)

On the contrary, I expected that my statement "You aren't the only one" would have indicated my agreement with your stance.

Yes, sorry, I apparently kind of skipped that and focused too much on the other two paragraphs - it seemed to me like you might be comparing my post to some of the vitriol that's happened here, which I disagreed with (Update: or rather, I was hoping I wasn't being that bad...).

And I'm still not going to engage in that other speculation ;-)

are we talking about the same thing here?

      Yes.
I'm no crypto expert either, but I do know that a random one-time pad is the best form of cryptography, so long as it's not re-used && the enemy don't get hold of it.

      Cheers,
      Rob
