'<readonly/>' is translated in the generated hash to readonl. the 'y' is cut.

Well that certainly would explain it! It is ironic that I switched from XML::Simple to XML::Mini for robustness. (I didn't realize that I was logged out when I last posted.) Thanks again everyone!	[reply]
