Certainly I should concur that a community of highly dedicated (addicted?) perl coders is very instrumental in bringing about high quality production applications. I myself aquired quite a bit of wisdom from numerous discussions on this site.
I found some monks that are particularly helpful and forthcoming (
tilly,
crazyinsomniac, and numerous others). Fellow monks' comments have helped me to improve my coding practices. It's pretty hard to find a similar perfect learning environment as at the monastery. Such things as news groups and various site forums do help, but they won't compare to what you get here.
In the end, however, we should all worship thy merciful keeper of this place,
vroom ;-).
