With all due respect, How do I vote on nodes?

I am now listed as a novice, I have 5 votes available to me.
The "Help" page says that I should be able to click on + or - buttons to vote, but I cannot find any + or - buttons to click?

Please assist.

    At this particular moment, your home node shows you having 19 experience points, or one shy of novice level. Probably it has just fluctuated a bit since you checked.

    Anyway, votes are given out once every 24 hours, so what probably happened is that you got to level 2 after votes had been given out already (so you wouldn't see them till the next day).

    Once you get back to level 2, you should see what hossman described, but it could take up to 24 hours after you reach the level for it to happen.

    logged in users with votes should see radio buttons labeled ++ and --at the top of any node which they are not the author of, and which they have not voted on before.

    Below all the nodes on a given page, there should be a Vote button.

    If you don't see these, perhaps you're encountering some weird HTML/browser incompatibility.

    When I reached a voting level, it took 24 hours before I had the ++ and -- radio buttons.

    It did indeed take 24hrs or so for the ++ and -- radio buttons (buttons? indentations more like it) to show up.
