Of course, saints tend to pile up (they hit that heavenly glass ceiling), and the 2nd, 3rd and 4th levels could be only two levels (I remember hearing that this was deliberate, so that there would be more early progress).   It seems more evenly shmeared now, but I wonder how much of that is "deadwood" (like take me, for instance*), who reached a certain point and haven't been back since.
dws' suggestion of charting over time might be interesting, but maybe just one or two more :Number of Monks breakdowns for the last month and the last 6 months. . .   And of course, I'd be curious to see them stacked vertically in "Towers of Hanoi" fashion (I'm sure there's a word for that).
