Oh for crying out loud: what's the point of this? Is it so hard to show some respect for one another?

You may not like Juerd, which is entirely up to you, but this post is offensive and shows quite a measure of cowardize since it's posted anonymously. If you don't agree with someone, don't like his attitude, then please be civil about it and above all, don't hide behind our venerable "Anonymous Monk".

Frankly, I don't always agree with Juerd's point of view (as he's aware since I usually tell him via the chatterbox), but I prefer someone who stands for his actions and opinions anytime.

I furthermore feel that it's not exactly appropriate that the author of a node like yours accuses someone of arrogance since you prove a though competitor in that league.

This kind of behavior makes me quite angry, and I'm not happy to start 2003 reading such a rant as yours. So thanks a bunch for this new year's gift to PerlMonks and my best wishes to you too.

    Just my 2 cents, -gjb-

please be civil about it and above all, don't hide behind our venerable "Anonymous Monk".

I didn't post the flame in question, but I would like to note that not all Anonymous Monks have accounts on Perlmonks.

      Doesn't excuse the flame though.

But why not? It doesn't require much of anyting.. with a few exceptions, there's no reason to remain anonymous if you're going to stick around for any extended period of time.

It's your choice to sign up or not to of course..

        Makeshifts last the longest.
