An old boss of mine used to tell me that we talk to ourselves when noone else wants to listen. If you start to get too many response notifications of yourself, then perhaps you should consider it a hint ;)	[reply]

Well then stop talking to yourself! ;-) I have seen that as well but simply wrote it off as a "feature." Would we gain anything by coding for it? It would seem that everypost would have to be checked to see if it was the original author? Also, what about your replies to other people? Well maybe I am making it harder then it really is.... You could probably avoid notifications, as well as other people saying you talk to yourself, by editing the original post that you made. You know, along the lines of: Update: Thanks to everyone for their suggestions. The little green men are happy now. I just realized that I was using the same sig for nearly three years.	[reply]

Why are you thanking yourself? If you reply to a reply, you shouldn't get the notification. `$ echo '$0 & $0 &' > foo; chmod a+x foo; foo;`	[reply] [d/l]

Aha, I see. I normally reply, in a general way, at the top level -- to thank more than one person -- I don't reply at individual level unless I'm thanking that specific person.
