Hi monks ,, can I find a DBI prel module to work with perl version 5.004 , all the one I see require 5.005 and higher , I tried to install them however it fails once it checks the version of perl, can you please help. thanks so much.

      Beware

      Those older releases versions of DBI are not up to date.

      This means that they are not supported, have bugs and are missing features.

      If that's fine , you might have a problem finding the previous versions of database drivers that work for that particular DBI. And they might have bugs and be unsupported...

      If you really can't upgrade to 5.005 I wish you the best of luck with what seems like a difficult task.

    jobber is right, CPAN does keep older versions which is very nice. However, I would look at 1.21. It looks like that is the last one that had require 5.004;

    It looks like there were quite a few changes in this one over older versions - that's why I would suggest trying it out.

      You are both mistaken. CPAN keeps what the AUTHOR tells CPAN to keep (PAUSE).

      BackPAN, on the other hand, has everything ;)(ZCAN)
