in reply to Apocalypse 6 is out

Okay, I'll admit it. Apocalypse 5 scared me, but this one has me all excited for Perl 6 again. Any idea how long before Exegesis 6 or Apocalypse 7?

Man. What I really want to see is Perl 6, but I'm just going to have to be patient. Are there any pointers out there to Perl 6 concepts that brave souls have backported into Perl 5 modules?

I just realized that I was using the same sig for nearly three years.

Apocalypse 7 is at the end of Apocalypse 6. I promise. The next one is Apocalypse 12. Synopsis 6 should be out in a couple of weeks, and Exegesis 6 a few weeks after that.

For backported Perl 6 concepts, see the Perl6 namespace on the CPAN.

Since it seems like after this set they'll be going out of order (which I had guessed), is there any kind of scheme written down somewhere on the order they're planning on doing the rest of the Apocalypses?

I'll have to dig out my notes, but it'll be objects next then (IIRC) Events/IO then Threads.

Quoth Damian, the single biggest thing that annoys most people about Perl 6 after attending one of his talks about it is that it hasn't arrived yet..
