I must say that you have me stumped with that error. How'd you save the code? What OS is this on? What version of Perl?

    This is Win2k Perl5.8.0 using cygwin.

    But then again, it is only Windows x-)

      It is not. Cygwin is not windows. Cygwin runs on windows, but it's not windows.
        What I was saying is:
        This is Win2K. This perl program doesn't do what it was intended to do.

        And:
        This is still Windows even if I have cygwin installed for at least a tiny bit of decent software.

        I very well aware of cygwin not being Windows, since I installed it.

        Unfortunately there still is software which doesn't run of FreeBSD or MacOS X. :-(
