Go with Net::FTP - that gives you full access to the available FTP commands, which LWP won't give you. LWP will do what a typical web wowser also does: connect, fetch a resource, disconnect. You can't put files with FTP/LWP for instance.

Of course, all of that should have been clear had you looked into the manual pages....

    Yea I read that shortly after posting. I looked over the net::ftp before I looked over the lwp. sorry
