Thanks! The dvorak.com file didn't work (ran, but had no effect) but your link led me straight to a Microsoft solution that did work.

It's too bad Microsoft had to insult me in the documentation:

"Microsoft distributes Dvorak keyboard layouts that make the most frequently typed characters on a keyboard more accessible to people who have difficulty using the standard 'QWERTY' layout."

I guess Linux, MacOS, and other non-MS operating systems "make the frequently used features of an operating system more accessible to people who have difficulty using the standard 'Microsoft Windows' OS."

All exact science is dominated by the idea of approximation.
