    How to install AdvNotify
    ===================
    To install this PPM package, run the following command:

    ppm install AdvNotify.ppd

    And to uninstall this PPM package, run the following
    command:

    ppm remove AdvNotify
      Thanks everyone - the following url (http://idnopheq.perlmonk.org/perl/packages) had everything anyone could ask for and it worked fine ! I installed the package in a wink and all is settled.

      Thanks again.

    If you havn't already located this then I did find a copy at Win32-AdvNotify.

    I just installed this manually (copy 3 files to the appropriate places) and tried the console demo from the embedded html file and it ran flawlessly under 5.8/NT. There's no source code for the dll, so if the author has disappeared, we're in the lap of the gods shoudl it break though.

      I'm afraid the link you provided isn't valid anymore...

        That is unfortunate, I can only say that it was valid when I posted it. The author seems to have dropped of the net and taken the source code with him.

        That said, from some of the stuff you have posted in other threads, I was under the immpression that you had already aquired a copy?

        If I understand your problem, I can solve it! Of course, the same can be said for you.
