RE^3: settings change

The file type .exe is meaningless in the Unix context. A .exe extension is for DOS/WinBloze so I would suggest you find out what you need to do to develop Unix applications to run on an Unix platorm.

I just re-read your original post because you are making this cattle dog very confused.

Are these files you have tacked the .exe extension onto really binaries or are they scripts? What language are the scripts in if they are scripts?

I was inexact a bit. Its really binaries Visual C++, not scripts. Probably it is impossible, I shall revise for other way.

As I suspected. Visual C++ binaries are not going to run on a Unix system. Sorry.

Now: What exactly did your question have to do with Perl?
