I would start the search on CPAN. Three minutes later I find Proc::ProcessTable and Win32::Process::Info. Hope that begins your journey on the right foot. -- `[ e d @ h a l l e y . c c ]`	[reply]

If this is just a quick hack, it may save time to use the OS-supplied or external tools, and parse the result. On Unix, I believe a varient of 'ps' would get you the list. On Win32, you will need 'pslist' from sysinternals.com.	[reply]
