I found a news at OS X HAX you could be interested. i'll give you a copy'n'paste:

This is extremely good news! It means that if you install the MacOS X driver, you'll wind up with a /dev/tty.usbserial-mumble device. There are perl scripts that can talk to this device to run the XMPCR from the command line. Huzzah!

merely a lucky google search. i gave a look on linked pages about the driver, but seemd too difficult to me :) good luck, and let me know... maybe i'll have to play with usb device on my iBook	[reply]
