in reply to How about a help wanted section in CPAN -- like Savannah?

So sort of a jobs.perl.org, but for volunteer services?

Yeah, that's the kind of idea I had in mind.

I realize that there are many Monks who have plenty to do (I count myself in that group), but there are others who may have a few hours to burn .. and are interested in learning more Perl, perhaps by working on an open source project. How do they find out about what modules need work?

On the other side would be module authors who want to take a break from maintaining their modules, or who would like to implement feature requests or fix bugs but don't have time .. it's not really a cooked idea, but it's a start.

One more thing .. I'm not sure if this is covered already by sourceforge.net; I suppose this is kind of a Source Forge application for CPAN.
