No.

There isn't much else to answer than 'Yes' or 'No' to your question. How to send the message entirely depends on what you have set up on both sides.

In other words, be more specific. Don't ask a very general question, and expect to be spoonfed.

    I have an AIX 4.3 Unix server. The perl version installed is 5.5.3.75. The requirement is to send a message to a known IP address in the Windows 2000 environment. The windows 2000 environment is 5.00.2195 and patched to service pack 4.
        All your code does is confirm a packet has been successfully sent and received ? I need to send a popup message to the users desktop from Unix to Windows.
