Question: I know that making a https connection with LWP uses OPENSSL, Crypt::SSLeay and 1 or 2 other modules. But with Windows, I was making a https connection with LWP and I did not use any additional modules - just ActiveState straight out of the box (downloaded the latest version) and connected just fine.
Can someone explain why I do not have to use any additional modules under W2K server? I have a cert installed on IIS, but that's about it.
Reason I'm asking is that I have another W2K server box I'm trying to configure for the same thing and for some reason when sending a lwp https request I get a 'protocol not implemented'. Both boxes have certs installed; however, one is from Verisign and the other was generated locally.
Has anyone seen this before?
Does anyone know the differences between sending https
