As for sending people to jobs.perl.org, yeah nope, would certainly not be what i would do. That site is mostly empty of job offerings (and has been for a loooong time), so hardly any developer is going to look there.

Well, if you aren't going to point people that way then the situation isn't going to improve. I actually think it's the perfect place to point them: perl-specific, gig-friendly, global reach, and I (and probably other) devs are indeed going to look there. Don't confuse lack of listings with lack of candidates.

OTOH, other than the thread title nothing in the OP suggests looking to engage a developer, so who knows really what they want.
