I don't know about the rest of you, but if you're like me you browse Perlmonks off and on during the day at work and often end up with a few votes left over at closing time. What to do with them? The temptation is to just ++ everything on the front page and be done with it, but that doesn't seem very monkish to me. Instead, I like to pick a random person from the Other Users or Chatterbox boxes, run down the list of their posts on their home node, and vote up the ones I like. I use up all my votes in a contructive manner, donate a few experience points to someone who might not otherwise get them, and maybe make someone's day a bit brighter. :)
