This has probably been debated at one point or another, but when submitting a new post/comment, why is it necessary to have my signature appear within the initial comment box? Maybe I am off-base, but I thought the entire purpose of defining one's signature once in one's profile was to get it out of one's hair, not have it dangling in front of one all the time!

I mean, it's not a big deal or anything... but it would just make more sense to me to not have it show up within the input box.

And if there is worry that some people might want to tailor their sig to fit their post, I suggest it could be inserted after the preview button is pressed, giving one a chance to edit it before submitting the final version.
