Sounds like you are looking at an enhancement to the function nodelet. Have you turned this on in your user settings?

I guess it works by grepping any <code> sections against a list. Presumably, this could match a regex /use\s+(\w|\:\:)+/.

I wonder, besides the results being displayed in a nodelet, are they saved anywhere for indexing and priming super search?
