I am putting together a portfolio for my application to graduate school, and one of the requirements is that any plugins be made available on the CD. I am using Adobe's SVG plugin for graphics.

However, I'm stumped as to how to get the file down from the adobe download site to my PC without corrupting the macintosh file format. I've got ActiveState Perl 5.8.0 on Windows XP.

Will LWP-Request destroy the file formatting?
