Brothers,
I would like to hear your opinions about our future - future of Perl developers.
I like Perl very much and I wait impatiently for release of Perl 6 but I'm confusion by fact that many programmers think that Perl is a primitive tool for simple scripts not for development of applications of corporate level (of course, this opinion belong to no t Perl programmer and not me). I see that many employers take up Perl like additional option but no main target (for example, I have seen many ads like this 'We look for an Java developer, Java guru etc'). I don't like this tendency!
In Russia, for example, a professional java developer can earn about $1000 - $1500 per month but perl developer any level - up $800 only. It looks not good!
I hope that the similar problem worries many of you.
Thanks
