Greetings untouchable monks

I am trying to set up local repository; I am using ppm3 and ActiveState ver 5.8. I have downloaded Win32-Lanman-1.0.10.0-ppm.5.8.tar.gz, and few other modules then I dropped them in c:\temp. I started ppm3 and I did rep add “Local” c:\temp as it was suggested in the help rep command. However when I do search * no modules listing appears and I get this msg “No matches for ‘*’; see help search”. I changed the path to file://c:/temp (like the old way) still to no avail. Is there something else I need to do?
