We have been sleeping, all of us. Waiting for Perl 6 was not a good idea, since it has been available in The Netherlands for some time at ActiveISP!

Perl was introduced to the computing world in 1988 as Perl1. Since then we have seen both Perl5 and, most recently, Perl6 being released.

Don't you just love those marketing people? :-)
