This is not your website. This website is 99% contributors and 1% you. In short, it is "not your website" as some Einstein said in the chatterbox. It may be your domain name, but the content is mainly us.

You are nothing without us. And, in all fairness we are nothing without your website. But that means we are in a cooperative situation and that means the site should not be subject to your whims and you should not be subject to ours.

And of course, the whole reason that this started is because even though I have some tremendouly monk-like pictures that others stated that they liked, you refused me access to the upper-right on the grounds of level.

So, now finally:
why can't I ask a question publically criticising you and why must I be voted down as result? It is a legitimate criticism.

The voting thing has turned out to be a chance for people to exercise their dislike of what is nothing more than observant criticism. Even if it is well-stated and justifiable. In short: one should not be voted down when they express something distasteful, but only when the content itself is poort.
