I have need of code to split a list as follows: 

1-5,6a-e,7,10-13

into a list broken out as follows: 

1
2
3
4
5
6a
6b
6c
6e
7
10
11
12
13

I have no idea how to do this other than with split to find the commas but that does not take care of the dashes.
