The password information is behind the Edit link on the user information page instead of the user settings. I have kept my password the default and use the "mail me my password"-feature to remind me. It is also very convenient to let Perlmonks save a permanent cookie to the browser so that I don't have to log in every time - this also prevents erroneously posting as Anonymous Monk because I forgot to login.
