Everyone's already read Schneier et al. on how monoculture environments are hazardous to your health, but just how hazardous? I didn't know either so I wrote a simulator to play around with infections through polycultures of a controllable size, shape, and character. You can find my musings here, complete with current source code.

A warning, however -- the images on that page are quite big and may take a while to load.
