I don't use the The Monastery Gates that often but I agree that it is a good idea to keep it fresh. However thanks to Firefox I never have to see another blinking element (or a marquee for that matter) ever again, so I would never see your blinking node titles :) If something like this is going to be implemented I think it would be better done as a css tag; that way those who want it can display it to their taste and those that don't can ignore it.
