Oh well :(

I'm also using Math-Pari-2.010501 and pari-2.1.5, reinstalled from scratch and exactly the same problem. I wonder if it's a gcc issue?

gcc version 2.96 20000731 (Red Hat Linux 7.3 2.96-110)
