Hello Wassercrats.

I must say I don't really see why this would be useful. The chatterbox is for people to talk to each other, not a platform for long monologues. I would like the max. length of a CB entry to be slightly higher (I don't know what it is right now, but I've run out of space a couple of times), but in general it's not a big problem.

On another note, it's not necessary to present your ideas as someone else's (even if they might agree with it). If they feel strong enough about something they will post about it themselves. It's very possible that you might misinterpret or misrepresent their opions and it does not add credibility to your posts, so please don't do that. Ofcourse, if you don't agree with this idea (I can't tell), why bother posting about it at all?

In general, I think some of your ideas are interesting, but your posting style leaves a lot to be desired. Presenting your ideas in a clear, non-insinuating or insulting way can get them a lot further. Rembember that this is a community site and almost everybody here is spending their time, for free, to make this a better resource for the perl community. Insulting people or making assumptions about their political inclinations or intelligence will make people (at best) ignore you or (worst case) feel so ill at ease that they'll leave the site. I'd appreciate it if you take this into consideration the next time you post here.

Regards,
Joost.
