Starcraft, all 3 versions of Warcraft & now probably 6 hours a week on World of Warcraft... Blizzard has gotten way too much money out of me over the last 10 years. Yes sir, guilty as charged.

However, when you get into mixing Perl with these things then you're getting into the realm of bots. Bots are generally frowned upon as they have unintended effects on game economies as has been painfully illustrated in just about every MMORPG out there. Blizzard is particularly sensitive about this with regards to WoW since it's their flagship product these days.

Hacker-oriented material has always been something that's been frowned upon here. So be careful. OTOH - I've personally written more than a few simulations using Perl to prototype primitive AI behaviors for games. I'd love to see more things like that done with Perl.
