To be fair, I did say that it's not a good idea. But there are shops (which shall remain nameless) that do this patch as a matter of course, so don't be surprised if you encounter it.

Do not rebuke them with harsh words ... but rather lead them gently - with URLs - so that they may learn wisdom.
