Scott Lanning, the author, recently had this to say about it on his journal. It contains a couple of links that may help you indirectly.

I see that the RT queue (link requires authentication, I forget the incantation for the anonymous view) for the module has no open tickets. You could do worse than opening a ticket with a plea for a new release that might actually work. This is one good way of letting an author know that there is someone out there who's interested in the module.
