I want to install my product using perl but how can I interact with the messages that encounter during installation? Can somebody jump in please!!!

Product - Security Application
Once I execute the command (sh install), I get a meesage stating 'Select one of the below three options(options are 1) Custom 2) Typical 3)Blablabla...'. Now If I want to select any one of the options and HIT ENTER to proceed further what shud I do?
Please lemme know if you require any more information.
