While reviewing my settings, I noticed some related items:
- "No navigation menu under title bar" (in User Settings), and
- The "Sections" nodelet.
- The "Find Nodes" nodelet.
My suggestion is that we could expand the Sections nodelet to contain all the links in the navigation bar. Then monks could use one or the other.
It appears that we'd just have to add a few links, such as the homepage, log user out, Super Search, etc. (Note: I'm aware that I can use the Free(?Personal?) Nodelet to accomplish the trick.)
If (and only if) it's worth touching the Sections nodelet, then I'd suggest you make it two columns to conserve vertical space. (I'd suggest the same for Find Nodes, Information, and Other Users, but that might be a subject for a future post.)
