Create an account, and change your display preferences. Or change your browser settings to something more sane. Most modern browsers come with ridiculously large default font settings (something like 16), but very small monospace settings (13 and below). Increase the monospace setting and the problem will go away on many, many sites, not just perlmonks.

You can find any thread using the search function, a google search restricted to perlmonks.org, or, if a thread contains a posting written by you, in the "Nodes You Wrote" list (of course, for the latter, you need an account).
