I have attained Level 2 (Novice) and am advised I have voting privileges. The Voting/Experience System page indicates I should find 2 radio buttons (+ & -) for each writeup. I cannot find these. I have done the following:

Am I missing something? Doing something wrong?

      this should be linked from the Level 2: Novice faq and voting/experience system page.

      The first is fixed, the second isnt a SiteDocClan node so it cant be fixed by them, but rather by pmdev. Luckily I wear both hats so ill look into that too. :-)

      Appreciate the timely reply. I thought I'd checked all the relevent documentation (even down to the 'Null vote' item in Miscellaneous Settings). I'll wait till tomorrow.

        Just FYI, the null vote option (which is highly recommended) means you get an extra radio buttion labelled +=0 so you can change your mind on a node without having to reload the page.

        Makeshifts last the longest.

      Just to round this off: I got my first 8 votes today and can now find voting buttons.

    Hi. I'd appreciate it if you could review the new documentation in Voting/Experience System to see if it would have been clearer. Hopefully the revamp resolves your and other novitiates confusion.

      I like the new documentation. I had the same confusion the OP did when I hit that level-- I figured out why I didn't have votes, but it took me a little while. What threw me off was the announcement in the XP box that I had x number of votes-- I assumed I wouldn't have gotten that message until the Vote fairy had slipped them under my pillow.

        Your assumption is correct, so I guess you are still confused. If the XP Nodelet says you have votes, it means that you have votes (and so should see voting buttons).

        Perhaps the XP Nodelet told you that you had reached a new level and so had new powers and you followed the link provided and got confused since you couldn't yet use this new power. I see that Level 2: Novice ends with a link to I just became a Novice; Why can't I vote yet?, so I don't see much to improve there. (:
