in reply to other Perlmonks kids

I object to overzealous parents claiming future user names for their young children. Who knows, at the time they're interested in Perl (if ever), they might not even want to use that name? After all, how many monks here do use their actual first name for a login? Not that many, I gather — or else, some parents must have a really strange taste in names.

Chill out dude! It's not like I've put her down for Harvard or anything!

And it's not like I'll be pissed if she isn't interested in Perl. All I know is she's at the age where she mimics things I do, and she shows a genuine curiosity.

The point that I was (oops) abbeyrose was making was that maybe there should be a section that collates Perl resources for Kids? After all, if your kid shows an interest in the piano, wouldn't you encourage here to learn more? Why should Perl be any different?.

I do have balance y'know. I originally wanted to call her "b" ("what does the b stand for?", "nothing, it's 'a b' "), but I realize there are limits to bad humor :)
