Anonymous Monk has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

Look at the simple perl database in http://plasma.s5.com/ (click download button below). Though is obsoleted, it can be still useful those, whom no necessary advanced features. Since it not supported more, I looked ways how to optimize it, to make that it worked permanently. Perhaps someone have ideas how to optimize code to provide stable permanent work?
Thanks
Mike

I seem to be having trouble with the link you provided. Could you perhaps describe in better detail what type of a database it is, and in what ways it is an improvement on existing "self contained database" options already available on CPAN, trusted and proven, such as DBD::AnyData or DBD::SQLite?

If it's filling a niche that hasn't been satisfied yet, maybe it's something that the author could post to a reliable archive -- CPAN -- where others could benefit from it.

Clicking on the link indicates that the site isn't complete.

Update: There is a download button on the unfinished page, but it won't let me link from here.

I can't answer your question but I have a comment. The code was incomplete. On line 2054 is the beginning of an if statement with an opening curly brace, but there is no matching end curly brace.

For those of you who are paranoid like me, clicking the download button takes you to a text file containing perl code; that is all.
