Because the front page becomes unmoderated. He's more likely asking for fresh GOOD content, not fresh spam.

    I think Abigail's point was: Why push monks to frontpage things? If a post is worthy of frontpaging, then by all means do it. But if it's a slow day full of "homework assignment posts" and "Tell me why my code doesn't work. - Uhhh, you forgot a semicolon." type stuff, why frontpage useless crap just to get something to stop blinking.

    And if you are bored of the Monastery Gates, come to the Newest Nodes page. That's my front page.

      I'm sure as time goes on, someone can go back, back into the past, and fron tpage a node that was cool, but never got front paged.
        Unfortunately, as things are, they appear on the frontpage in order of creation. So frontpaging a node older than the ones in that section already on the front page has absolutely no effect.
